GfG Instrumentation, G222E-2200, Micro 5 Portable Gas Detector, Single Sensor, Phosphine (PH3), 0 - 10 ppm Range
Features:
- Measuring method: electrochemical (EC)
- For toxic gases
- LC-Display, 2 control buttons
- Threefold alarm signal
- Protection rating: IP54
The Micro 5 G222E is the first device in GfG‘s Micro 5 series. At present, it is the smallest and at the same time one of the lightest detectors with electrochemical gas sensors (EC) in the world. The Micro 5 is approved for use in Ex zone 0. It's very durable, handy, and lightweight design offers the best possible combination of safety and comfort to the people carrying it. The measured values, types of gas, measuring range, and charging status of the battery can be read on the display at any point. A single alkaline battery will power the device for up to three months of continuous operating time. If a dangerous gas concentration is detected, the Micro 5 will warn you using a visual, acoustic, and vibration alarm.
Safety through Quality and Functionality
Equipped with high-quality, precise, and durable sensors, the system is individually tailored to your requirements. A simple, two-button menu and a large, easy-to-read display provide easy menu navigation and reliable information even under difficult conditions.
Approved for Underground Use
Certified for use in underground operations according to equipment group I, equipment category M1 as well as well protected according to protection class IP 54, the Micro 5 G222E is suitable for challenging applications. The rubberized polycarbonate and plastic case provides excellent protection against shock and vibration, while the light weight of a maximum of 125 g ensures maximum wearing comfort.
Suitable for Long Periods of Use
Depending on sensor equipment and configuration, the Micro 5 G222E has an average operating time of up to 9 months at 10 hours per working day or 90 days in 24/7 operation. The battery of the Micro 5 can be changed in seconds if necessary and the gas detector is ready for use again.
Data Logger
The internal data logger stores the last 2600 events. These include measured values, alarms, TWA and STEL values, and time as well as temperature information.
Calibration Cap & Smart Cap
Calibration and adjustment of the Micro 5 are quite simple. All you need is the Calibration Cap for manual zero and test gas application. If you want to read out the content of the data logger, you will need the Smart Cap, a USB connection cable, and the Config Software for the G222 series instead.
Handy, Durable, and Reliable
When designing the Micro 5 G222E, we prioritized safety and wearing comfort. Since it is approved for hazardous ATEX environments as well as mining, there are no limits to the areas of application it can be used in. The housing is made of rubberized plastic and is protected against the ingress of dust and water. With its small size and low weight of a maximum of 115 g, anyone wearing it can easily forget it's there at all, even when working in confined spaces - unless, of course, it is alerting them to dangerous gas concentrations. No alarm will go unnoticed, even in loud environments or areas with low visibility, as the Micro 5 uses its loud buzzer (103 db(A)), highly visible alarm LEDs, and vibrations to signal them.
Durable and Suitable for Everyday Use
The LC display shows the measured gas concentrations as well as the type of gas and unit. The status of the battery is also visible at any point. The display can be rotated by 180 degrees at the press of a button, to facilitate reading the displayed information when the device is fastened to work clothes using the crocodile clip. The Micro 5 is powered by a single battery, providing enough energy for nine months of use (at 10-hour work days) or 90 days of continuous operation time. It can be replaced quickly, ensuring that the gas detector is ready to use again in less than a minute.
