Provides controlled solvent stripping in flasks up to 5 L. Use 2 torr Model 2026 for solvents with atmospheric B.P. <160°C - rapid DMF stripping at 4 ml/min. Includes analog gauge and vacuum regulation. Inlet and exhaust separators protect pump and lab atmosphere.

Applications

• Rotary Evaporator
  • Rotary evaporators are typically used to remove solvents following chemical reactions. Combined with gentle heat from the evaporator bath, controlled vacuum is used to bring solvents to boiling or near-boiling. Efficient solvent distillation requires vacuum balanced to achieve sufficient pressure reduction and molecular flow w/o losing sample or overrunning the condensing capabilities of your rotovap.
