Functioning
This series of electric single impeller close coupled centrifugal pumps are fitted with the overhang impeller directly splined keyway on to the motor shaft. The liquid pumped is conveyed into the spiral shaped volute of the pump body transforming the kinetic energy into dynamic pressure energy. Pressure and flow is achieved with minimum loss by means of the hydrodynamic closed impeller design.
Applications
Industrial water supply, pressurized water using pressure vessels (autoclaves), horticultural and agricultural irrigation, civil and domestic water transfer applications.
Pump Construction
Pump body and motor support in cast iron or cast aluminum alloy. Pressed brass impeller or thermoplastic resin. Mechanical seal in carbon/ceramic. Rotor shaft fitted with seal for life bearings. Totally enclosed fan cooled motor (TEFC). Single phase motors with a built in thermal overload protection on request, the capacitor is permanently in circuit.
Pump Performance Data
Maximum working pressure 9 bar. The tolerances of the hydraulic features are according to UNI / ISO 2548-Class C, Appendix B, electric features according to C.E.I. The working features listed in the catalogue are based on continuous service for clear water with a specific weight of 1000 kg /m3 . Manometric suction lift of 8 meters with a foot valve, for a suction lift of above 5 meters it is advisable to install the suction pipe with a internal diameter larger than the pump inlet.
Installation
Upon installation always prime the pump body first before start up. Pump may be installed with the motor shaft in the horizontal or vertical position. In the case of the pump being mounted in the vertical position the motor must be positioned above the pump body.
