A PTZ camera can adjust its field of view left and right (panning), up and down (tilting), and in or out (zooming). This allows the security camera to see in virtually any direction, and focus on distant objects. PTZ features on your camera include:

This MPX security camera uses a siamese coaxial cable (60ft) to connect to a high-definition DVR. This siamese cable can carry both power and video up to 300 feet. For larger properties, you can extend the video signal up to 800 feet.

Automatic tours and patterns

Within your DVR's PTZ settings, you can create custom "preset" viewpoints around your property. After creating a few different preset locations, you can create a fully automated "tour." This means that the camera will automatically move its viewpoint from preset to preset to preset until you choose to stop it. All of the pan, tilt and zoom features can be used during these tours for maximum customizability. Another option you can customize with your PTZ camera is a "pattern" preset. This setting will automatically cycle between two positions. All you need to do is set up your start point and end point and the camera will cycle between the two points.
