Ideal personal uses include leaving keys for pet sitters, providing keys for a vacation rental, and keeping keys for a garage, shed, barn, etc, on the building instead of on a key ring or in a desk where they could be lost or forgotten. Ideal Industrial uses include providing keys to authorized users for a locked construction site, providing remote access to locked offices or heavy machinery to authorized users with the current code, and keeping important, seldom used keys on site instead of on a key ring or inside a desk where they may be lost or misplaced.
