Interbraid construction. A non-asbestos Aramid fiber; a synthetic fiber displaying many of the characteristics of asbestos. Each strand is individually treated with a TFE coating and a light, inert oil. Recommended for rotating and reciprocating shafts and all equipment on which braided asbestos packings are used. For general service, caustics, mild acids, chemicals, air, oil, gases, solvents and general chemical plant applications. For speeds up to 1900 FMP; temperatures to 500°F/260°C; pH Range 3-11 (same as TFE impregnated asbestos).
