AMS Reinforced Regular Soil Augers are specially designed for heavy-duty augering. They are built to withstand unusual, and considerable amounts of power . Three gussets are added to our popular regular augers to provide added strength and durability. The gussets are designed to prevent the top of the soil auger from twisting or bending. AMS Reinforced Regular Soil Augers are commonly used for obtaining disturbed soil samples at or near the surface in most soil conditions, and for boring to depths where soil samples may be obtained with a separate soil sampler or soil core sampler. The bits of the reinforced regular soil auger are open to allow entry of small soil clumps and relatively small rocks and particles.
