Yamato Scientific America was formed in 1982 to provide general laboratory equipment to the US market. The list of its products has expanded to include incubators, muffle furnaces, water baths, rotary evaporators, sterilizers, stirrers, and spray dryers. The company has further diversified product lines tailored to semi-conductor and biotechnology fields. As of February 2006, Yamato Scientific America relocated to the heart of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara, California, with the focus to expand and support a wide spectrum of bioscience-related business and academic activities.
