Meiji Techno, TC-5500CL, Binocular LED/Halogen Inverted Epifluorescence Microscope with PE300L
The TC-5500CL is our latest Binocular Inverted Epi-Fluorescence Biological LED Compound Microscope line is the cost-effective TC-5000 Series. The TC Series makes routine examining of tissue cultures, microbes and other live specimens in petri dishes and culture bottles fast and easy while delivering an excellent performance-to-cost ratio. The TC-5000 Series is available in brightfield, phase contrast and epi-fluorescence models. The TC5000 Series Microscopes have an integrated front mounted camera port with adapters available for 35mm, CCD/CMOS and other cameras.
Epi-Fluorescent
Microscope with Epi-Fluorescence is an optical microscope that uses fluorescence and phosphorescence instead of, or in addition to, reflection and absorption to study properties of organic or inorganic substances. The “fluorescence microscope” refers to any microscope that uses fluorescence to generate an image, whether it is a more simple set up like an epifluorescence microscope, or a more complicated design such as a confocal microscope, which uses optical sectioning to get better resolution of the fluorescent image.
Intensity from a conventional lamp decreases through its life, which means that illumination varies dramatically over time. The lifetime of LED’s far exceeds that of these older lamps, ex. Mercury, Metal Halide, Xenon models and intensity remains broadly constant throughout its life providing a stable, repeatable light source. Some of the many fluorophores excited by the PE-300 Series are FITC, DAPI, Cy3, Auramine, TxRed, mCherry, TRITC, ChR, Hoechst, Cy5, Calcofluor, RFP to name a few.

ThePE-300L/LEDTC is a simple white light LED illumination system that offers intense, broadspectrum LED illumination for imaging most common fluorescent stains.
The PE-300L/LEDTC Light Source can be fitted directly to the microscope or specified with a liquid light guide. The system is a mercury-free alternative that is safer, more controllable, and repeatable than conventional high-pressure gas discharge illuminators. Spectral coverage is from the UV (DAPI excitation) to the Red region (Cy5 excitation). The system is perfect for hospital and regular research laboratory environments and is affordable within consumables budgets.
DAPI can be excited at either 365nm or 400nm and microscopes typically have a filter set which allows one or other of these wavelengths to be transmitted. To accommodate this, the pE-300lite can be specified in one of two waveband configurations to match with the user’s existing filter sets within the microscope.
A microscope which is populated with a number of single band (“SB”) filter sets will typically have DAPI excitation at 365nm and a microscope with multi-band (“MB”) filter(s) has excitation at 400nm. The user can specify the configuration which is appropriate for their microscope.
Power requirements - 100-240V a.c. 50/60Hz, 1.4A
Viewing Heads
The MA816/10 uses an 80/20 beamsplitter that can be engaged for photo-microscopy. (100% to eyetubes or 80% to phototube and 20% to the eyetube.) Each microscope head has the eyetubes inclined at 30 degrees with the left eyetube having graduated diopter settings. The interpupillary distance on the viewing heads is adjustable between 53mm - 75mm.
