These ACRs have many useful features that can come in handy. You can charge both banks simultaneously while underway! Why is it important? If you have an ACR and both banks that are charged, you won’t have to worry in case one battery is depleted (you will have a charged bank, which can be useful for emergency starting).
To choose the automatic charging relay that meets your needs, follow these simple steps:
- The ACR should have a continuous rating above the maximum alternator output rating as well as an intermittent rating that is above the largest load on the auxiliary battery.
- Pay attention to the preset settings of the ACR.
- Don’t forget about the features you need in an ACR.
