Metal Insert Fitting for PEX and PE-RT. PEX lead-free bronze insert coupling is designed for use with PEX in potable water and radiant heating system applications. The bronze insert coupling is manufactured from lead-free Performance Bronze alloy and features PEX end connections. The fitting is used to connect two lengths of PEX tubing together. PEX fitting are lightweight, easy to install and maintenance-free. Joining can be accomplished with NIBCO copper crimp ring, copper sleeves or stainless steel sleeves. PEX system requires fewer fittings than traditional rigid plumbing systems resulting in fewer potential leak paths.
