NIBCO, CN05150, 6233 1-1/2" FKM/EPDM Socket Union S x S - Chem-Pure Natural Polypropylene, Schedule 80
The Chemtrol socket union is an injection molded Chem-Pure natural polypropylene (PP) thermoplastic fitting that features thermo-seal socket connections. Natural color Chem-Pure fittings are used with deionized water systems, clean chemical processes, pharmaceutical operations and food processing. The Chemtrol socket union is supplied with FKM fluorocarbon seal which is suited to most applications involving mineral acids, salt solutions, chlorinated hydrocarbons and petroleum oils. It is also available with EPDM ethylene propylene seal which has good abrasion and tear resistance, plus excellent chemical resistance, but not recommended for applications involving petroleum oils or most strong acids. Chemtrol Chem-Pure polypropylene exhibits extremely low content of metals, organic compounds, and free ions. No pigments or other adulterants (natural) are added to the plastic resin. Chem-Pure natural polypropylene demonstrates excellent chemical resistance properties, including aqueous solutions of acids, alkalis and salts, and a number of organic solvents.
