Regular unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cable is fine for most sites. It’s useful where the electronic-noise sources might consist of a server or two, a laser printer, a few relatively distant fluorescent lights, and somebody’s old desktop radio.But you know that’s not going to work at your site.
