Commonly, such tools have a nail claw on one side. Large-scale hammers are utilized as a part of an automated set-up on production lines. Heads for these tools are made of steel firm enough to deform other steel objects. A grip may be wooden or made of any shock-absorbing material. A mallet is a sub-type of a hammer. It's differentiated by two main attributes - the head's size and material. Usually, they are larger than a regular hammer and are softer (wooden, brazen, or rubber). Mallets are utilized when soft careful strikes are needed, or when working with delicate materials.
