Washing your hands is the best solution to protect yourself, your family and friends from dangerous bacteria and germs. Nowadays, our planet Earth suffers from the Covid-19 pandemic, that is why we should understand the importance of protection rules.

Germs can be spread by many ways and there are some of them:

How Are Germs Spread

1. Germs are often spread to the hand while coughing or sneezing, to the eyes when you touch them after petting an animal or coming back from the supermarket, etc. And then germ can spread from you to your family members, friends. Germs supply such illnesses such as cold or eye infection.

2. Usually germs can spread from the person, who didn't wash his/her hands after the toilet to food and then they spread from food to the person, who has a meal.

3. Germs are also transmitted from the raw food. Raw food such as meat ( especially beef/veal ) includes germs and when the person touches the raw food, germs spread to his/her hand and then for the dishes that don't need to be cooked such as vegetables in the salad. During cooking raw meat, germs will disappear, because high-temperatures during boiling or frying will kill them, but vegetables in the salad will be infected and spread the germs to the person.

4. Nowadays, our Earth is living in severe conditions because of Covid-19 pandemic. The virus is spread from infected person to person by coughing, sneezing. The virus and germs can spread to the healthy person and infect him/her. The infected person can cover his/her cough or sneeze with a hand and then touch your hand and you’ll get his/her germs and viruses.

That's why washing hands is one of the immediate actions and the best solution to help yourself and people, who surround you from spreading germs and viruses to each other.

Washing hands is the best solution to kill germs, but if there are any available places for it, you can use sanitizer which contains at least  60% of alcohol.

You should use hand-sanitizer:

1. Before and after visiting your near and dear or friend, who is in the hospital;

2. Before starting and returning to work;

3. After using the toilet if there are any available places to wash your hands;

4. If there are any places supplied with soap and water, you can use sanitizer and then find a place to wash your hands with soap.

*Note If your hands are visibly dirty after the yard, playing outdoors, camping, etc., DON'T USE hand-sanitizer, try to find a place where you can wash your hands with soap. Handwashing helps to protect you from all types of germs, pesticides and other chemicals.

Germs are everywhere! They spread from person to person, from item to item and make us get sick. Handwashing and using hand-sanitizer are perfect solutions to avoid germs, but we should recognize the difference between them. Hand-sanitizer can remove an amount of germs, but can’t get rid of pesticides and other chemicals as handwashing does. Handwashing keeps away all the germs and can help to get rid of visible dirt.

Stay healthy, stay safe!
